What Is Evolysse®?


Evolysse® is a next-generation dermal filler made from hyaluronic acid (HA), a naturally occurring molecule in your skin that helps retain moisture and volume. Evolysse® is specially designed to smooth dynamic wrinkles and folds—especially “smile” and “laugh” lines (nasolabial folds).

What Makes Evolysse® Different?

  • Cold-X™ Technology: Unlike many traditional fillers that are manufactured at higher temperatures, Evolysse is made using near-freezing (cold) cross-linking. This helps preserve the natural structure of the HA molecule, which can lead to more natural-feeling results and better integration into your skin.
  • Two Formulas for Different Goals:
    • Evolysse™ Smooth — Soft, fine gel aimed at smoothing lines and folds.
    • Evolysse™ Form — More structured gel for lift and support, ideal for deeper folds or areas needing volume.

How Does Evolysse® Work?

  1. Injected Under the Skin: A fine needle is used to gently place the filler beneath the skin’s surface.
  2. Restores Volume: The HA in Evolysse® adds volume under the skin, helping to “fill in” wrinkles and folds.
  3. Integrates Naturally: Thanks to Cold-X™ Technology, the HA maintains a more natural molecular structure, so the filler integrates softly into tissues and moves naturally with facial expressions.

What to Expect During Treatment

  • Consultation: Your facial structure will be analyzed, you will discuss your goals, and you will choose whether Smooth or Form (or a combination) is best.
  • Treatment Time: Usually quick—many treatments take just a few minutes.
  • Comfort: Mild discomfort is possible. Common side effects include tenderness, swelling, bruising, lumps, redness, or itching, but these are generally mild and temporary.
  • Downtime: Very little. Most people return to normal activities right away, though you may experience mild swelling or redness for a short time.

How Long Do the Effects Last?


Results from Evolysse® (both Smooth and Form) have been shown to last for up to 12 months in many patients when an optimal correction is achieved. After that, maintenance injections can help preserve the look.

Safety Information & Precautions

  • Evolysse® is not suitable for people with:
    • Severe allergies or a history of anaphylaxis
    • Allergies to lidocaine or certain bacterial proteins used in the product
  • Precautions: Avoid extreme heat or cold after treatment; these can temporarily worsen redness, swelling, or itching.
  • Possible Risks: As with other HA fillers, there’s a risk of infection, lumps, or more serious complications like unintentional injection into a blood vessel.
  • Reporting Side Effects: If you experience unusual symptoms (e.g., vision changes, skin color changes, severe pain), contact your injector immediately.
